Mobile users and their shocking bed time secrets

Sex? Er, let me call you back..

If you’ve ever thought the more mobiles there are the less mobile we become then there’s even more bad news from a US academic website.
Not only are we all getting more sedentary as smartphones control ever increasing aspects of our life, but they’re interfering with what’s left of our sex lives too.
Research by the website, onelinepsychologydegree, reports that 90 per cent of 18-29 year olds sleep with their smartphones while for the rest of us, a third would rather give up sex than our phone.
All but five per cent of people also use their phone in the moments before leaping between the covers while half check their phones immediately if they wake up during the night.
The upshot? The survey reports that our bodies haven’t quite adapated to the change with 63 per cent of the survey’s respondents admitting they get too little sleep, with part of the blame attributed to the fact that too much screen time reduces melatonin, the chemical that makes you tired.
In short too much time spent with your mobile keeps you awake longer, leaving you stressed, depressed and while increasing the risk of having a heart attack by 50 per cent.
Ring a bell?
